Bardo Pond--Bardo Pond (2010)

Eat it up. Bardo Pond's most recent album, a massive self titled double LP, is as expansive, hazy and pharmaceutically-fuzzed as you could possibly want. A lot more flute from Isobel then Ive heard before, and its beautiful. Listening to it almost makes me want to go back to that zone in time of early winter exam-crunch when "Amanita" drawled on in my speakers for days and days.

Thurston Moore said of this record, something like: "one of the coolest records". ...I'll take it.

God I love this band, they kick my ass every time. And I think I hear a harmonica on "Just Once"?
